Of real musical substance happens to be my friend and co-worker.  He really knows his shit when it comes to rock ‘n roll.  Led Zeppelin, Rush, and Yes are among his favorites, but he is really into Mott the Hoople and the solo work of their frontman, Ian Hunter.  I’ve listened to some, but not all, of Mott the Hoople’s works and relatively little of Ian Hunter solo.  I’m listening to his solo debut right now and it is fabulous (so far).  I had NO idea he wrote and recorded the original “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”.  I can tell I’m in for a Mott/Hunter phase.

I also listened to some Dave Edmunds today.  Talk about two heavily underrated artists in the pantheon of rock ‘n roll glory.
